CEO-ul Ripple a declarat că firma a încercat să cadă de acord cu SEC, însă compania nu poate controla listarea XRP.
CEO-ul Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, a făcut o serie de declarații legate de incercitudinile față de procesul intentat de SEC. Acesta susține că 95% din tradingul XRP are loc în afara SUA, iar compania nu poate decide unde să listeze cryptomoneda.
Potrivit unor serii de postări de pe Twitter făcute de Garlinghouse, Ripple a încercat să cadă de acord cu SEC în trecut, dar cele două părți nu au reușit să ajungă la o concluzie. Acesta a mai menționat că firma va continua să încerce să rezolve problema cu noua administrație SEC.
Garlinghouse a declarat că reglementările se află într-o stare haotică în SUA și că mai multe companii de cryptomonede se tem pentru viitorul lor. Totuși, a adăugat că e optimist față de noua administrație și că Ripple va coopera cu noii lideri.
“Can’t get into specifics, but know we tried to settle the matter with the SEC and will continue to try with the new administration to resolve this in a way so the XRP community can continue innovating, consumers are protected and orderly markets are preserved. XRP is one of the most liquid (top 3-5) digital assets globally, and 95% is traded outside the US. Ripple has no control over where XRP is listed, who owns it, etc. It’s open-source and decentralized,” a declarat Garlinghouse.
Delistarea XRP și probleme de reglementare
CEO-ul Ripple și-a exprimat opinia față de recenta delistare a XRP-ului de către marile exchangeuri crypto. Finance Magnates a raportat recent că XRP este delistat de mai multe exchangeuri crypto, dar Garlinghouse a menționat că acestea opresc doar tradingul, numărul celor care au realizat delistarea fiind mic.
“Delisting and halting are 2 separate things, most are halting trading. With 8 different govt agencies, each with their own (and sometimes opposing) views of crypto, US market participants are facing conflicting policies and no surprise, some act conservatively. We’ve moved from a lack of regulatory clarity to regulatory chaos in the US. This is why regulation by enforcement is such a bad public policy. With the new administration, we expect DCEA to be reintroduced – common-sense legislation providing clarity to the entire crypto industry,” a adăugat CEO-ul Ripple.
